Attorney
Jason M. Rapa, Esquire
Jason M. Rapa, Esquire is a licensed attorney admitted to practice in the State of Pennsylvania and before the Federal Courts for both the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. He is also the founder of Rapa Law Office, P.C. where he handles all matters of general practice law with a focus on consumer rights litigation.
Since his graduation in 2002, Rapa has successfully represented hundreds of consumers in cases against debt collection agencies and collection law firms recovering hundreds of thousands of dollars for his clients. He is a member of the National Association of Consumer Advocates and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorney’s. He is also a two-time attendee of the FDCPA Boot Camp held by Peter F. Barry of Minnesota, know by many as the premier FDCPA attorney in the country.
Jason routinely lectures on the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act at State and National Consumer Law Conferences, as well as at Continuing Legal Education seminars for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and local Bar Associations.
Jason graduated from Widener University School of Law with honors in
2002, where he was a member of the trial advocacy. He began his
career as in a general practice firm in Monroe County, Pennsylvania
where he handled personal injury cases and criminal defense and
later accepted a position with a Lehigh Valley firm where he focused
primarily on bankruptcy and consumer law matters, the bulk of which
being suits against abusive debt collectors. Wanting to return to
his local roots and seeing a lack of consumer protection attorneys
in the area, Jason opened Rapa Law Office, P.C., with the goal of
vindicating consumer’s rights.
